I’m a busy homemaker mamma, to the most amazing little boy. I’m a down to earth spiritual person, who loves many things, such as music, the arts, fashion, creating, animals, coffee by day, wine by night and traveling is a must in life. My family matters most to me and is what life is truly all about. Being a mom is the best gift in the world, my son has stolen my heart.
Through all of the business life brings, my son became very allergic to dairy. So, I thought, what more can I do to be of help to my child and others going through this. Since my mind is non stop and I am always researching food allergies, I thought start blogging about it all. I’ve learned there is so much detail and fine print, when if comes to food allergies. Not everyone is aware of how having a dairy allergy changes so much. There needs to be more awareness, especially for the safety of our children!
Having an allergy changes everything. When it comes to cooking, shopping, baking, anything and everything in life, it can be done, it just takes more precaution. Labels are very misleading, non dairy labeling is also different, than dairy free. I’ve learned labels can even say dairy free or vegan, while still being processed in a facility with dairy. You’d be surprised, I know I was. Always triple check the labels, even call the companies to be certain.
I will continue to make myself as knowledgeable as possible about food allergies and do whatever it takes for my child. This blog will be my how to, from every day family life at home, to traveling with food allergies. Any recipes, brands, research, photos, everything and anything, I will post with hope to help. I’m a mom who truly cares and would do anything for my little boy. I hope you follow my blogs and it gives you some help and comfort. If anyone has any questions or comments, please feel free to contact me. Together we will spread awareness and make life better for our little ones. Thank you much…
Best regards, Mamma Bear
